Spoiled
When we lived in Thomaston, we were spoiled.
When we had an electrical issue, Jonathan was there.
When we had plumbing issues, Cody was there.
When anything else needed repair, Samantha was there.
Here.
Well, it all depends on a corporate entity which I assume does exist somewhere out there. But it never responds to personal requests to reply to my questions. Makes me wonder.
I’ll admit, I am not a business person. Shoot! I can’t even add two plus two! Having to deal with hundreds of people like a typical company does would fry my patience quicker than the lightning strike to our house did our TV!
It seems somewhat reasonable to require a bajillion bids for a repair job – I guess.
But it seems more reasonable that in every area where a corporation owns a facility that they have a cadre of faithful workers on whom they can depend to do repairs quickly, correctly, and within a reasonable budget.
But again, I am not a business person.
So this is not a rant. This is just the Katharsis of the day.
I’m thinking of getting a cheap swimming pool vacuum for the pool that was zapped in the storm until the $25K part is ordered and installed that will clean the yuck there. From the top, the pool is murkier than normal, but as I donned the full face swim mask and looked beneath, I’m not sure I’ll be using the pool.
That will give me time to do more of my own projects I guess.
There are interesting stories in the Bible about walls and cities being rebuilt which had been destroyed in various ways or fallen to ruin through neglect. I guess there is nothing new under the sun.
I like this verse. Maybe it’s me that needs repair more than the junk around here.
Psalm 51:12 NKJV ‘Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and uphold me by Your generous spirit.’
Blessings
