How Do They Do That???
I tried wearing gloves, rather, A glove, yesterday as I worked. And as the picture shows, maybe I should have put a glove on each hand.
But the question remains, how in the world do doctors wear gloves and get anything done? Of course, they aren’t using spray adhesive and glitter, but how do they manage? During surgery, do they change gloves midstream? Do they rinse them off halfway through? But then again, maybe they are neater in their projects than I am in mine. Their gloves probably don’t stick to their projects like mine did to the button on the spray can.
Yeah, they probably don’t end up with blood and guts all over their feet like I end up with glue and glitter on my good shoes. Ugh! I had no idea I would end up with so much of my project on my hands, shirt, pants, socks, and shoes. I took the project outside to prevent a mess. Total fail. The wind was blowing. I failed to consider the spray glue was headed my direction. Duh! I’ll think that through ahead of time – next time.
Then the mess I made inside – on carpet!
I sprayed several stars with a heavy dose of beautiful blue glitter. When I deemed them dry enough to bring inside, I brought them inside snuggled safely in a silver foil pan I use for crafting. As I was heading to the first place to place the star, I tripped. I juggled the pan and its contents for a second before the pan upended and spilled the items and the glitter that had settled in the bottom of the pan. I caught myself on a chair before I bit the dust. The pan of glitter spewed the glitter all over, and I said, ‘Oh my goodness! How unusual for me to be so clumsy!’
Not!
I have completely given up on my well intentioned steps to keep the mess out of the house. Excess glitter from every item to which I applied the beautiful blue glitter is on the floor from the front door to the back. And guess what? I’ll go ahead and vacuum the main path through the house, but I’m leaving the rest to sparkle and bring joy to me.
Yeah. A crazy old lady.
As much as I get joy from my mess making and glitter, may I have a deeper joy. Psalm 4:6-7 tells me where to get pure joy. ‘Lord, lift up the light of Your countenance upon us. You have put gladness in my heart.’ NKJV
In Psalm 21:6 TLB David speaks of his God given blessings and how he was endowed by God with eternal happiness. God gave him ‘the unquenchable joy’ of His presence.
May I learn to realize God’s presence in my life and be joyful in that knowledge.
Be Blessed
