Today’s Praise
You may not think the picture above shows a praise moment, but it does!
I am not used to granite countertops. I swear! I’ve broken more dishes and glasses these 5 months than I did in Thomaston for the last five years! Today’s catastrophe was caused by the simple act of trying to take one bowl from a stack from the bottom shelf of the upper cabinet (which is still tall for me). The Corelle bowl exploded as it crashed into the exceedingly hard surface. Shards landed everywhere – even about 12 feet away.
I felt some glass hit my hair. Thankfully, my head was down, so no pieces hit me in the face, and my head shielded any glass from slipping down the front of my shirt. Some other sharp pieces hit my foot but did not penetrate my sock. Thankfully today was a day I wore socks with my sandals.
Ronald helped me clean up the mess. Despite the fact I vacuumed, I’m sure I will see a few slivers shining as the morning sun hits the dark floor.
But the Lord protected me from my klutziness once again.
Mondays are my heavy chore days. I was blessed with enough energy to do 5 loads of laundry and remake beds.
The day started early and after my Bible study, I started hauling in more boxes of Christmas decorations. Ronald helped bring in a few boxes and kindly left the area.
I was able to complete two Christmas vignettes. I might add a few things later, but for now I am calling them finished.

As I think back on this time last year, I was spending my days in a chair or in bed, unable to walk properly with the one leg which had endured another hip tear surgery. When I finally felt a little better, Ronald brought in decorations which I crudely assembled from my wheelchair.
So you see, I have much to be thankful for. I’m taking a big old ‘Praise Break’ and taking time to worship an amazing God who
#1 loves me
#2 puts up with me
#3 gives me energy
#4 protects and directs my life in ways I can see and in many ways I can’t.
This is a shorter than usual blog, but here’s the Truth for the day. Ephesian 5:20 TLB. ‘Always give thanks for everything to our God and Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.’
Blessings
Kara Beth
