Guaranteed!!!
Initially, Tupperware was on my ‘you know what’ list! until I thought and wrote a while.
I’ve been a Tupperware dealer off and on through the years which means I have WAY too much Tupperware. For years we all bought Tupperware believing their ‘lifetime warranty’.
I guess they didn’t expect their customers to live as long as I have!!!
They are making it hard to impossible to get free replacements for cracked, peeling, or broken items.
The online warranty claim would be impossible. Who would have receipts from 1975?
Going through a dealer has been an easy process so far. But replacements are no longer free, and often times unavailable.
I’m sure through the years, Tupperware has lost its shirt because of the claim ‘lifetime warranty.’ Honest people who have sent for replacement parts were probably expensive enough. Those who bought used or damaged items at a garage sale took advantage of free replacements which made it harder for the company to continue. I understand how difficult and expensive it must be to reproduce a part of an item from back in the day. I get it. I really do.
Got my panties in a knot this morning before I put much thought into their plight. But the process did provide thinking fodder. 🤔
Frankly, some old things are too expensive to make and replace. Some things are totally irreplaceable – people, relationships, times and opportunities. There are truly no guarantees in life.
EXCEPT … THE PROMISES OF AN UNCHANGEABLE GOD!
A few weeks ago at the hymn sing we sponsor here at the old people place, we sang, ‘Standing on the Promises.’ Perhaps not all of  the participants understood the concept, but I’ve been believing God’s guarantees too long to give up on them now. May I share a few of the promises God gives us in His Word?
1 John 2:25 NKJV Â ‘And this is the promise that He has promised us – eternal life.
Isaiah 41:10 NKJV Â ‘Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes I will help you. I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
Hebrew 10:23 TLB Â ‘Now we can look forward to the salvation God has promised us. There is no longer any room for doubt, and we can tell others that salvation is ours, for there is no question that He will do what He says.’ The NKJV says it this way, ‘Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who has promised is faithful.’
1 John 1:9 ESV. ‘If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.’
James 1:5 NKJV. ‘If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.’
John 16:33 ESV Â ‘I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.’
John 14:27 TLB Â ‘I am leaving you with a gift – peace of mind and heart! And the peace I give isn’t fragile like the peace the world gives. So don’t be trouble or afraid.’
Isaiah 26:3 NLT Â ‘You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in You, all whose thoughts are fixed on You!’
Deuteronomy 31:8. NKJV Â ‘It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; He will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.
Think on the promises of God.
Be blessed.
