YUMMY!!!
You’ll see in today’s blog my train of thought is taking the scenic route – meandering but not a total train wreck. Bear with me.
Some things about moving have been outright trialsome.
Some things have been about new routines and routes. Thank the Lord for GPS!!!
Things like establishing accounts at new banks and finding different doctors are time consuming but needful.
But some things are downright fun!!!
U-Turn
Sorry to say, I’ve been grumpy all day. Hey! That even rhymed!
Ronald asked on the way to a new doctor if I was going into a curmudgeon mode.
I said, ‘Could be.’
We were early for the chiropractor appointment, and I suggested we try to sweeten me up with a little side trip to the ice cream shop adjacent to the doctor.
The delightfully decorated shop is called Ked’s Ice Cream. I loved the brightly colored furniture and sparkling lights. Definitely a happy vibe.
The place offers regular ice cream things and a variety of fancy waffles and crepes. As I looked at the posted menu, I saw items I had never encountered. I will share the meaning of some of it – as I understand it anyway.

Falooda is a Persian food said to have developed in the Mughal Empire in the 1500’s. It is a cold dish made with malai (aka clotted cream) and rice noodles being two of the main ingredients. Sweet basil seeds, spices, nuts, fruits, and other flavorings are added. All I can say is, Yum!
I looked up some of the other words on the menu. Mostly because I’m a nerd. Fun facts are my joy.
Punjab is a state in northwestern India bordering Pakistan. According to what I read, the origin of the Punjab language was Sanskrit, that is, an Indo-European language group that includes Persian and Latin. That area is known for its freedom fighters and historical sites.
Peshawar is in Pakistan. Its people are primarily Pashtun. A long time ago I got to film a style show that featured some of their traditional clothing. These pictures show examples of the weaving and embroidery that is absolutely marvelous.

Thanks Etsy for the pics!
Sorry, As a costumer, I get carried away when it comes to this sort of thing. I wish I could get away with wearing clothing like this that is so beautiful and elegant!
I have totally jumped off the track.
Back to ice cream!!!
I tasted a flavor I am going to get a scoop of next time. I can’t remember the name.
I tried the almond, pistachio, saffron flavor which was excellent. Because Ronald and I will be going to this chiropractor for several more visits in the near future, I think I’ll probably be able to sample most every flavor within the next month or so.
I told the manager we had just moved up here from a little town in middle Georgia. Because we love to experience things beyond our realm of knowledge and meet people from other cultures, I was glad to be able to chat with her. She’ll be sick of me by the time the chiropractor gets me well!
Plus, it is a perfect place to bring the grandkids! They are always a good excuse for me having fun and a little something sweet!
In typical fashion, here is a Biblical truth that applies somewhat to today’s excursion. (Another U-Turn!) Ice cream is sweet, but nothing compares to the goodness of God or His word.
From the Living Bible, Psalm 19. ‘God’s laws are perfect. They protect us, make us wise, and give us joy and light. God’s laws are pure, eternal, just. They are more desirable that gold. They are sweeter than honey dripping from a honeycomb for they warn us away from harm and give success to those who obey them.’
Blessing
