God’s Artistry
I love to brag on God. He makes Georgia ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS this time of year! Driving through rural Georgia to a track meet was like going to some fancy garden. Azaleas adorned most every yard. Redbud, Tulip Trees, Carolina Jessamine, and Wisteria were abundant. Camellias of every color and variety were in full bloom. The new, delicate leaves of the trees made the forests like a fairy land. Every flower and leaf is a work of art!
It’s so lovely, I wonder if all of the galaxies God makes are this lovely. Wouldn’t it be fun to be a space traveler and find out?
Sometimes, I get to thinking I’m pretty creative. But when I get to looking around at God’s handiwork, there is absolutely no comparison!
Now granted, stuff I make is fun, sometimes kinda pretty or cute. Making junk is just part of who I am. My cross-stitch projects are labors of love as I stitch, tear out the mistakes, and redo. My trees of life are sometimes, yeah always, random in design. The costumes I make – especially the angel ones – are unique. I’m sure they are nothing like angels actually wear, but I have fun making them. My writing is mostly a train wreck, but I love doing it so I keep on.
For years, I have been making dirty pours. Wonderful, messy, and creative. But really, I have no control over the outcome. Sorta like my cooking, but that’s another blog.
After seeing God’s dirty pour in the Walmart parking lot, I am ready to unpack my canvases and paints and have some fun. All God had to use was some puddled water and the abundant pine pollen that streamed across the asphalt. Super cool! There were even cells without Him having to use a blow torch! I loved it!
I’m going to end with just two comments. Look for and praise God for the lovely things He has made. Use your own gifting to beautify your world.
Blessings

Genesis 1:31 And God saw every thing that He had made, and behold, it was very good.
