It’s Official!!!

Our house is officially on the market. Getting the house ready for pictures has been a process for several months. We had to wait until our Celebrate Life Party was over and I had a few days to get things squared away before any shots were fired – picture shots that is.

This is a total U-Turn!!!

We will be taking the gift bags for pediatric cancer patients to CHOA around the first week of April. We still have room in the bags available if you didn’t get to come to the party and would still like to donate to this special cause!

Back to the house sale.

It was fun to see the cool technology that filmed its way through our house. You know how I love technology! This camera was on a tall tripod with a rolling device on the bottom. With his phone, Hunter guided the machine through our house. It even allows a person to see what the home would look like with no furniture! AI is so scary!

King Davis took the still shots with his fancy camera.

Good job, guys!

Natalia Bell has been thorough as she prepares for the sale.

People have been asking us where we are going and when.

No idea on either issue!

I was thinking about this and decided that though Natalia is our realtor, God is our REALTOR! He knows the exact timing we are to move within His will. It is a wonderful thing to put our home in the hands of an experienced human, but with God in control of it all, I refuse to worry about any of it! My part is to keep the place ready to show.

Feels good to live that way. Yowza! God even has the exact place up north ready for us when it is time. Cool, right?

I’ve thought often how Abraham must have felt when God told him to move on out. He was even more clueless than we are and didn’t have a great realtor! That’s some real faith!

As I reviewed the story of Abraham, I find some correlation for our family. He was 75 when God gave him his marching orders. Mama was 76 when we had her move with us from Texas to Thomaston. I am 73 and Ronald is 77 as we plan this move. None of us can be classified as spring chickens, for sure!

From the beginning, my girls have offered help and advice on clearing out our ‘junk’ and remodeling my beautifully ‘cluttered’ house. Ah, but no more! Definitely the minimalist vibe. I love the part where the Bible says Abraham took all the possessions they had acquired. Gives me justification for all that I haven’t pitched.

The other part I love is God’s purpose outlined exactly. It’s the basis and the focus of every daily prayer I say – may people be blessed through us.

2 Corinthians 9:8-11 NLT  ‘And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. As the Scriptures say, ‘They share freely and give generously to the poor. Their good deeds will be remembered forever.’ For God is the One who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, He will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you. Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God.’

Sounds like a good plan to me!

Blessings

Kara Beth
