How many young people do you know that would brave the cold weather like today and go out and hustle for jobs?

I met such a young man today. I was working on washing windows. He wanted a job power washing my concrete areas. His card also says he does landscaping and lawn care.

I felt led to pray for him and his success. He took off his hat as I prayed. Point in his favor for sure!

When he left, I felt like a hypocrite.

The verses from James came to my mind. James 2:14-17 in the NKJV is titled Faith without Works is Dead. ‘What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, ‘Depart in peace, be warmed and filled’ but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.’

I don’t know him, but this determined young man deserves kudos … and some jobs!!!
