You Might Be a Red-Neck If ….
Yep. You can officially call me a red-neck. We went to breakfast at the official Christmas Feast Restaurant of Georgia – Waffle House!
And who better to go with than some young people who aren’t afraid to go out with a couple of old people?
And the founder of the feast who didn’t have to cook.
And here’s me, shown with my two favorite bearded guys!
Through the years, God has blessed us with opportunities to be around young people. My home physical therapist, Alise, and her husband, Michael, have become good friends. We always have fun and look forward to the next trip out and about with them.
As I look over this past year, we’ve been blessed by friendships and acquaintances too numerous to mention – young and old. I’m taking time today to think through names and say special blessings for each one.
As we prepare things for this weekend when the kids arrive, I am actually going to fix some foods I can successfully make! Amazing, ain’t I? The only time I make spinach dip, broccoli salad, and pecan bars is when company is coming. The only thing I dread is the clean up – I’m sure there will be a horrible mess of some sort!
But the fun and frolic will overshadow any cooking disasters. The noise level at the Huddleston house will go from Zero to a Bajillion decibels the minute the kids step in the door. And I love it!
But for today, I’ll do a little housecleaning, sit outside in the sun this afternoon, and maybe start another cross-stitch. Lazy, southern Christmas for sure.
Here’s special Christmas blessing.
2 Thessalonians 3:16 ESV. ‘Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all.’
Blessings
Kara Beth
