Better or Worse!
Bless Ronald’s heart! He has put up with a lot from me through the years. In addition to the better or worse, in sickness or in health vow reminders he experienced during my last recovery from surgery, he has through the years honored the unspoken ‘in sanity or craziness’ he didn’t know was part of the deal.
Dress up week at the physical therapist had my creative juices in high gear as I channeled my Snow Angel persona. I redid one of Ronald’s Disney ‘bounding’ hats to turn him into the Icing King so he could bring in some frosted cupcakes for the crew. Jocelyn, our sweet granddaughter who works there, looks like she has a fascinator on her head as well, but it was just a well placed picture in front of the Christmas tree.
I found a few other pictures of my good-natured husband who plays along. So many fun memories! And silliness!

There were some other pictures I wanted to post but as I scrolled through 28,577 pictures and nearly 1K videos, I realized I must have the pics I wanted stored on a card I haven’t downloaded yet. Couldn’t find hide nor hair of pictures of me as Miss Honey and Ronald as my faithful helper as we read to children at a community center – and it was one of the best fascinators I ever made! It’ll turn up somewhere.
But as I went through the pictures, I realized something rather spectacular that I needed to be reminded of during this season of the year and this season of life. Yes, my little people are no longer babies, RD and I are aging by the day, and we’ve had so many fun times! But what I need to remember and be thankful for every single day is the fact that God is faithful.
All of us can say our lives haven’t always been easy, but we need to appreciate God’s steadfast love and guidance – through the daily grinds, the fun times, and the trials that can make or break us.
Look for special ‘God moments’ amid the hustle and bustle. Listen for the moments when God speaks a special ‘Presence of Peace’ into your heart. Trust God to guide you whether or not your ‘best laid plans’ happen or fall by the wayside. Watch for opportunities to share God’s love with others.
2 Thessalonians 3:16 ESV Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all.
Deuteronomy 7:9 NLT Understand, therefore, that the Lord your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps His covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes His unfailing love on those who love Him and obey His commands.
Blessings
Kara Beth
