This Is NOT Sacrilegious!

You all know I wouldn’t be disrespectful of God – EVER! Maybe a little spicy or off-kilter once in a while, but never sacrilegious.

That being said, I was thinking – always a dangerous proposition – which led to an amazing thought.

I know 2 things God must believe in.

On my way to physical therapy this morning, I was listening to an old gospel quartet singing, ‘I can tell you He’s coming’, but I can’t tell you when’. I then told the Good Lord like I told Him before every math test I ever took – ‘Lord, if You have a notion about rapturing me today, right now would be a really great time to get it done!’ In anticipation of today’s torture, I begged for Him to rapture me beforehand.

In neither case did He seem to be at all attentive to my prayers.

Therefore …….. (that’s a drum roll)

I know what God believes in!

Math and Physical Therapy!

He has used those agonizing persecutions to grow me in wisdom and intestinal fortitude. He allows things for my ultimate good. Or at least that’s what I’m telling myself. There’s got to be some kind of good reason for those kinds of trials and tribulations.

I’m pretty sure God also believes He’ll have ample excuses to do a face palm when He sees what I’m thinking, writing, or doing today. Bless the Lord! He has such patience with me!

Despite my complaining blogs, I am trying to have a good attitude. I’m having a wee bit of a hard time applying some of the Scripture to my daily life. Rejoicing in my sufferings – not so much! Not growing weary in doing good – that’s a definite ‘Not today, Zerg!’

I need to give myself the lecture and share the wise words I’ve told my girls through the years, “Suck it Up, baby! I’ve had worse than that on my eyeball!”

(Therein lies another funny story for another day.)

Silly stuff, right?

Anyway

Blessings

Kara Beth
