Say What??
Well, Bless My Heart!
I’m bound to be setting a new record. Between dieting and old age, my whole body is fixin’ to melt.
For example, the other day I was plucking some random hairs on my eyelids. Why on earth those hairs don’t stay in my eyebrows, I’ll never know! Stay where you belong, you little rascals!
Anyway, my eyelids, like my cheeks and under eyes, are all heading south. I started to pluck the hair, but I couldn’t tell if it was a hair on the lid or an eyelash. Oh, bother!
But that doesn’t compare to the rest of me!
When some people die, they want to be buried among their loved ones. I’ve said for years I want to be cremated, mixed with a jar of glitter (edible of course – don’t want to make any fishes sick), and tossed off the back of a cruise ship – off the back lest a thrower gets a face full of my remains. But that’s a moot point. Even in death, a cruise line will probably deny my boarding because I won’t get vaxxed.
It doesn’t matter since I have a new, absolutely great plan. Since I am into recycling and repurposing (or hoarding), I decided I want to be skinned out. I am positive there is enough flabby skin on me for a 3 masted schooner. Better yet! A sail on the Coast Guard Eagle! Both my brothers got to sail on that, and I was always jealous! How cool would it be to become a sail? Or maybe that’s just gross.
Bunny trail – the word schooner should be spelled with sk at the beginning – took me three tries to get it right!
Today, we were taking Mom to the doctor. Mama asked me if she needed a sweater. I usually wear one even in the hottest Georgia summers because we go from air conditioning to air conditioning.
Today, I had a different reason. As I dropped the sweater for her to see my arms, I explained that I looked as if I could be a flying squirrel.
Hey! I always did want to fly! Instead of a Mutant Ninja Turtle, I could become a Mutant Flying Grammie!

I know this was silly. I’m that way sometimes.
But here’s some Truth from 2 Corinthians 3:18. ‘We can be mirrors that brightly reflect the glory of the Lord. And as the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like Him.’ TLB
That sounds better than becoming a flying squirrel. The way I drive, I can only imagine what my flying would be like!
Blessings
Kara Beth
