Smoke and Mirrors
Sometimes, I feel as if I am in an alternate universe where I am the only real person in existance. Companies are all smoke and mirrors.
I am apologizing for getting on a rant today ahead of time.
#1 It’s hard to be an old lady and understand technology a little – BUT NEVER ENOUGH!
#2 It’s impossible to find a company who has REAL workers behind a phone call other than United Health Care. I commend them and their customer service at every opportunity.
#3 If these companies could hear what I am saying to their blinking’ machines, they would tremble in fear!
#4 My imprecatory prayers are offered for each company who refuses to let this old lady just talk to someone!
Living in the middle of nowhere Georgia is nice except when it comes to internet service. Bless their hearts, Spectrum raises their prices even though I am a faithful customer. Where is the good of that?
I love the internet to research my books. I love communicating with friends and family via internet. Without changing my lifestyle, I won’t do without internet.
My novels presage the time when technology will fail. How will most of us cope?
I don’t know anything but that I have my panties in a knot, my bowels in an uproar, and have my nerves scraping in high gear against my racing heart.
I think I’ll go take a nap and call it even.
But first, I’ll strengthen myself with a Word from the Lord.
Mathew 6 reminds me that the Father has me in His hand, and I am of value to Him. Matthew 6:34 reminds me not to be anxious. There’s plenty of trouble to fret and stew over if I let it. And I am releasing that as of now.
At least until I drive an hour each way to talk to a real person at a store this afternoon.
Blessings
