Celebrate with Awe!
My Celebrate Life party is over, but I’m not finished celebrating things in life that make me happy.
My cousin, Eddie, is the family nomad. As such, he wanders around the west taking the most wonderful pictures. The image above is one of his latest. I wish I had room to post more of his work. The pictures show God’s awesome creation in that part of the country.
I am thankful for eyes to see not only those pictures but also everyday things around my own yard. The birds that fly in and out of the tree I can see from my ‘writing chair’ make me curious. How many nests are in there? Do some migrating birds just use the tree as a bird hotel and move on?
Shoot! I even get a kick out of watching the squirrels cavorting in the back yard! Don’t tell Ronald I said that! He hates the rascals that steal his pecans!
The tea olive tree that is blooming in our front yard is a lovely sight to see because it has taken so long to develop. The new , bright yellow mums I planted are very pretty. I hope they last a long time this fall. As we drive this time of year, we are enjoying the magnificent colors of our heavily wooded part of Georgia.
Isn’t it funny how God likes lots of color? Well, I assume He does. Eddie’s sky picture presents powerful evidence that what I said is true. If you don’t believe it, try this picture for extra proof!

My blog is short today, but take time to think on some things in your own life that you can celebrate. What things in your life lead you to celebrate the Creator?
Tell the heavens and earth to be glad and celebrate! Command the ocean to roar with all of its creatures and the fields to rejoice with all of their crops. Then every tree in the forest will sing joyful songs. Psalm 96:11-12 CEV
Verses 1 and 2 give the final word for today.
Sing a new song to the Lord! Everyone on this earth, sing praises to the Lord, sing and praise His name!
Blessings
