Knot Free Day – NOT!

After yesterday’s frustration, I determined that I would not get my panties in a knot today. Sadly, my drawers got turned every which way!!!

My day started out well. With a nudge from biblegateway.com’s daily Bible verse about being forgiving, I worked through yesterday’s angst and got my spiritual act together for the morning. I worked on my lengthy to-do list all day and was able to accomplish many things. I was particularly proud to finish one task that had been transferred from one to-do list to another for probably three years. TaDa! Done!!!

Then I got a phone call. From there on, it was downhill all the way! I didn’t say the expletive that rhymes with scam, but double ding dang! I thought it! I am so sick of people lying, stealing, and trying to cheat others, I’m about to throw a hissy fit!!!

Here’s a word of warning – especially to older ones. Do not answer questions on the phone. If you didn’t call a person, don’t give any information!

The caller asked for me by name. I never say ‘yes’ when they ask if they are speaking to Kara Beth Huddleston. I say, usually a little curtly, “What do you need?”

This gal today identified herself as a representative of the mail order arm of my insurance company and wanted to verify my address. I told her she had called me, which meant she should have that information. She even had the right medical provider I use. When she wanted to check on a prescription update, I knew she was a phony. She got real huffy after that – which my insurance company would NEVER do! By that time, I was angry. I finally hung up on her. I should have done that in the first place.

After the conversation, I prayed some powerful imprecatory prayers against all wicked people everywhere! They’ll learn not to mess with me!

When pastor asks us to pray for the leadership of this country, little does he know what kind of prayers he is encouraging! I am a firm believer in praying God’s wrath on any vile, dishonest, — I’ll quit right there. You get the message.

Afterward, I called my insurance company who had no record of a call. I called the doctor’s office, and they said the same thing. Some disgusting creep was trying to scam this sweet, mild mannered old lady! Can you imagine the wickedness of that?

So – I’ll try again tomorrow to stay on the straight and narrow, blessing all who come my way. Or more realistically – Bless ‘em or bless ‘em out!

Blessings

Psalm 5:8-12 Lead me, O Lord. … There is no faithfulness in the mouth of my enemies. They are wicked from the inside out. … Destroy them, O God. Let them fall by their own counsel. … Let me trust in You and rejoice with shouts of joy because You defend me! … For you, Lord, will bless and protect me.
