Little Princesses

There is an old saying, “My day is complete, I heard a child laugh.” Today I experienced a different kind of happy! Sometimes, it’s the little things that brighten my day.

Here is Georgia, we are pretty much sick and tired of the covid tyranny. I had to say that to explain my story.

After lunch, Mom and I had gone into a restaurant restroom. The sign at the door said only two at a time were supposed to be in there. After all, we all know that six feet of distance keeps a person from sickness! Not!

Bunny trail – when leprosy was a real, naturally occurring plague, a person was to keep six feet from the diseased. If you are offended by that comment, ignore it.

Anyway. A grandma, her daughter, and her three adorable little granddaughters were going to enter the space as I was washing my hands. They backed out quickly and apologized.

I opened the door and invited them in as I waited for Mom. I then expressed my disgust with the leftist, control-freak agenda and mandates. Since they were all unmasked, I was sure I was preachin’ to the choir. They entered with smiles to wash the hands of the little ones.

The girls, probably between two and five, were gorgeous, wiggly, and absolutely precious! I said, “Well, mercy! I didn’t know I would be inviting three little princesses to come in here with me!”

At that point, the sweeties flew into my legs and wrapped me in a loving hug. I was thrilled and laughed with joy! “They must feel the Grammie vibe in me,” said I. More importantly, I prayed they could feel God’s love in me!

Charles Dickens wrote, “I love little people, and it is no small thing when they, who are so fresh from God, love us.”

My sentiments exactly!

Blessings

This doesn’t fit my blog very closely, but I love this Bible verse!

Let all who take refuge in God be glad. Let them ever sing for joy. Lord, please spread Your protection over them. May those who love the name of the Lord always rejoice!  Psalm 5:11 KB translation
