Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda
News Flash! God’s creative efforts are awesome and beyond understanding! Mine on the other hand … Mercy! My endeavors are somewhere between woulda, coulda, shoulda and total flops.
It all starts without thinking through things totally before I start a new project. I’m sure God never said, “Oops! That didn’t turn out like I intended. Let’s try it again!”
I am still working on my quirky wall decor. My first stab at the “I must go down to the sea again” sign necessitated a redo.
I shoulda tested the initial paint color before spraying 59 layers of paint on the frame. (Slight exaggeration.)
I coulda removed most of the paint with paint remover before beginning the sanding process.
I woulda looked more closely at the box which stored (hid) my Dremel instructions before hurrying to watch a YouTube video if I coulda remembered how to change sanding bits.
I shoulda known how quickly a Dremel can eat up wood.
I shoulda worn goggles and placed the dust bag on the end of the sander.
I coulda taken a shower AFTER my project and not had to take another.
At least I got to use my cute little electric sander and the Dremel.
God gets a lot of praise for His talent as I struggle with my silly little projects. When you think about how great, varied, and magnificent His creations are, it puts things in perspective.
O Lord, what a variety of things You have made! In wisdom You have made them all. Psalm 104:24 TLB
The heavens are telling the glory of God; they are a marvelous display of His craftsmanship. Day and night they keep telling about God. Without a sound or word, silent in the skies, their message reaches out to all the world. Psalm 19:1-4 TLB
Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! His faithful love endures forever. Who can list the glorious miracles of the Lord? Who can ever praise Him half enough? Psalm 106:1-2
