The Right Way

No, this is not a political statement. Everybody knows where I stand on that note!!!

I often get frustrated with someone in this house who never reads directions BEFORE trying to put something together. Well, bless my heart. Tonight, I carefully took the plastic from the outside of a medicine bottle. Accustomed to my other pill bottles, I pulled, pushed down, and twisted the top as I usually do. I continued to do the same actions with the same amount of success. Finally I growled at the crazy thing and determined to go ask my local hero to open the bottle.  I decided to check the directions on the lid under strong light.

Lo and behold! I was not doing it right at all! Once I saw and understood what I was meant to do, the cap was off in a second flat!

Which brings me to today’s sermon.

How many times do we do the same thing over and over and continue to meet failure in our spiritual walk? Here are a few suggestions for better outcomes. Pray for God’s wisdom in dealing with issues. Read the Word. Then obey it!

Easy peasy? Not so much. Worth the effort? Absolutely. The resulting peace of mind and heart is well worth the change in procedures.

Blessings
