Old Age Silliness and Creativity
We are forever getting mail from our health insurance about keeping mentally healthy. I’ll give you a tip we use in the Huddleston house. Giggle!
We were sitting at breakfast the other day. I was relishing my boiled eggs (NOT) and had a piece of Dave’s Bread on the side. I started to take another bite when I noticed that with my artistic genius, I had fashioned a perfect Ratatouille (sans tail) out of the bread. Such artistry! So clever!
Ronald and I giggled like we didn’t have a lick of sense between us.
When we went to Zaxby’s for lunch, he snarfed his toast. I had decided I would not have the extra carbs. I turned the toast triangle this way and that and knew with two little nips, I could fashion the bread into another work of art. In no time, it looked exactly like an Easter Island statue. Ronald took my other piece of toast, turned it this way and that, then shoved the whole thing into his mouth! Once again, we giggled at our amazing artistic endeavors.
We have all heard Proverbs 17:22 “A merry heart is good medicine.” Psalm 126:2 gives us the reason for our joy, even in bad times. Then our mouths were filled with laughter, and our tongues with shouts of joy; then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great for us.”
Yeah, things are tough for now, but keep the faith! God is still on His throne, still knows what He is doing, and LOVES us more than we can imagine! Those are reasons enough to laugh and shout with praise! If you still have the mulligrubs, read the end of the Book!
