Imprecatory Warrior
For years, I have labeled myself sophisticated. Obviously, that was delusional. My other persona has been a sweet fairy godmother. I spent years trying to make everyone happy-ever-after. I must have chosen that moniker in a bout of senile derangement!
Well, I’m tellin’ you, folks! Let it be known that I am no longer the mild mannered old lady who waddles through life and says, “Oh, well. What will be will be!” No sir!!! I am declaring this day that I am in full-blown warrior mode!
I am sick and tired of the evil thinking there’s no one to speak out for righteousness! No one wearin’ my britches anyway!
Oh sure, I will continue to tell my funny stories, my stupid mistakes, and my frequent spiritual stumblings. I’ll still give nerd alerts. I will continue to rant about this, that, and the other. I will write offensive, political diatribes until the powers that be shut me down. But be warned! From now on, I am in a full-scale war against the evil that is attacking individual believers, our families, our country, and the world.
There is a really neat word – IMPRECATORY. It means Psalms that call for judgment and catastrophe to fall upon those who are the enemies of God. One Bible study site I study from said we shouldn’t pray imprecatory prayers against evil people. I’m not sure I believe that, but I do know that we are encouraged to pray for God’s will to be done on earth as it is heaven. I guarantee you! There are NO BAD GUYS in heaven!!!
Yeah, you’ll hear sermons every day. Deal or don’t read. But I do hope you do read my blogs and pass them along. I am looking to align myself with others who are willing to fight the good fight of faith!
Here’s some ammunition that is stronger than any AK-15. (Though I’d really like to have one!)
Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. Ephesians 6:11
Proclaim this among the nations: Prepare for war! Rouse the warriors! Let all the fighting men draw near and attack. Joel 3:9
Be strong, and let us fight bravely for our people and the cities of our God. The Lord will do what is good in His sight. 2 Samuel 10:12
Through You we will push back our adversaries; Through Your Name we will trample down those who rise up against us. Psalm 44:5
Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God, and they will be My children. Revelations 21:7
