Hot Sauce and Exercise
As an avid non-compliant cook, I often (always) ignore the amount of spice recommended. Partially because recipes are most often way too bland for my taste. I don’t necessarily like spicy hot, but I do like spicy strong. If a little will do, a LOT will suit my notion.
I went to the doctor the other day and told him of pain in my hips. “Bursa,” says he. “Hmm,” says I without a clue.
I came home a studied the condition. Again, not a clue.
Until it came to me suddenly this afternoon.
Now admittedly, I’m a little fat girl. Not because I don’t try to be otherwise. I try really hard to exercise faithfully, especially to build up my knees and legs after my double knee replacement. I look with disdain at those who waller around in the therapy pool as I huff and puff and exercise my heart out. I have a list of exercises I have gleaned from aqua therapy sites and have built up the number of reps to what I considered a healthy, energetic workout.
As I evaluated my exercise routine today, I realized the truth of it. I have been doing 15 or more different exercises, 50 reps each, targeting the same area. 50 xs 15 is probably a little too spicy a routine.
So there you go! Another Biblical truth. 1 Corinthian 9:25 (sort of out of context) Every athlete exercises self-control in all things.
And the final Truth of the Day
Philippians 4:4-8 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
