Jumping Jack Hypocrisy
My name is Kara Beth, and I am a hypocrite!
My blogs tend to be on the ranting side or the preachy side. Today’s blog is a confessional.
I am a mess when it comes to exercise. I never could do a jumping jack properly to save my life! In the pool, if I try to count while changing feet or leg direction, my counting goes the way of the wicked and my routine is shot to smithereens! I just do not have coordination to do two things at once. As in many things in life, getting my act together is a trialsome thing. Therein lies today’s problem.
My blog from yesterday about having a positive attitude was today’s delusional desire.
First off, someone must have turned the bed around during the night because I definitely woke up on the wrong side of it this morning. I drove Ronald to the garage to get our other car and fussed at every driver in my path. One was hugging my tail, another was driving too slowly in front of me. I grumbled the entire way.
The day continued with frustrating sewing experiences. In the middle of that was a phone call from an overzealous person from Visa who was offering a loan consolidation. When I tried to tell her we are debt free and pay off our bills every month, she kept rattling on and on until I hung up. I didn’t say anything rude. She wasn’t listening anyway. By the time I had a letter planned to challenge the company’s aggressive sales’ techniques, I was once again in charge of my emotions and decided it wasn’t worth the effort. My determination to let it go prevailed. Had I resolved the emotional issue earlier along with whatever else was causing my grump problem, I would not have spent half the day with my panties in a knot!
So you see my hypocrisy and coordination problem. I am just not walking my talk. Argh!!!
Matthew 26:41 talks about the spirit being willing, but the flesh is weak. How well I know that!
Anyway. Don’t let anyone rearrange your furniture while you are sleeping!
O Lord! Look at me instead through eyes of mercy and forgiveness, through eyes of everlasting love and kindness. Psalm 25:7 TLB

The picture from clipart library is the closest thing to a jumping jack that I found. It is as bad a portrayal of that exercise as it would be in my reality.
