What a Difference!

What a difference a year makes!

I reread my journal for this past year, remembering the events and life lessons. It was great to be reminded of the good things God has given me and shown me. Well, some of the things He showed me from the Scripture are still a little challenging. Let me be truthful – challenging to total fails!

But so many blessings! How can I not praise the Lord?

This past week, I was able to go up and down Tep’s steep stairs without stepping on each with both feet before moving to the next stair. There is no way I could do that last year! Yay, God! Yay, Dr. Brcka!

I’m still not doing the Cotton-Eyed-Joe, but this past weekend, I kicked a football!!!

Yes, it was low, wobbly, and didn’t get far, but I did it! Progress, pure and simple!

Many may think this blog is foolish considering the year’s events. However, I encourage each of us – me included – to concentrate on the good things in life. Take time in the final days of this year to find rejoicing memories. Take time to enjoy each present blessing.

Blessings

Philippians 4 reminds us –  Fix your thoughts on what is true and good and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely, and dwell on the fine, good things in others. Think about all you can praise God for and be glad about … and the God of peace will be with you.     TLB
