Backup Plans

I said earlier on Facebook that my day was complete. I got to paint with blue glitter.

I guess my day wasn’t quite finished. I hadn’t had a major spill yet. Just so you know, I have now duly performed that daily ritual.

As I cleaned up some of the Christmas decorations I have been sorting through, I found a wall ornament I had purchased on my last trip to the beach. I decided that I may as well put it up since I had it in hand. If I put it away, who knows when I would remember where I put it?

Anyone who knows me, knows that my decorating is past asymmetrical and leaning heavily toward chaotic. The back of the metal shell wall ornament only had one hook. If I were to hang it by that hook, the shell would hang perfectly straight.

That would be perfectly unacceptable to my mindset.

SO-O-O-O-O

I put three pieces of double sticky tape on the back of the shell and shoved it against the wall above my plant rack that has not only plants but also a multitude of Christmas lights, and ornaments, and ribbon on it. You’d think the shell would have held. As the picture shows, it didn’t.

Life is full of woulda, shoulda, coulda moments. I shoulda put a nail in as a backup. When the tape let loose, it would have shifted and hung straight until I could redo the tape, but it wouldn’t have caused a major disaster.

Oh well.

I do know one thing. There is no backup needed when you have accepted Christ into your life. Jesus, the Savior and Redeemer is the ONLY ONE you need to get you to heaven!

Didn’t know I could turn a mess into a message, did ya?

Blessings

John 11:25, 26 “Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”   NKJV

I pray that you do.
