Lovin’ Georgia!
Sometimes I look at Ronald and say, “We’re sure ‘nuf not in Yankee land anymore!”
Today was such a time.
Our church is comprised of really good people. As pastor says, we’re not perfect, but we love each other. That was a total bunny trail. Sorry.
Because we live in rural Georgia, our church celebrates differently than a church probably would in the Chicago area. They host dove shoots, skeet shoots, parties featuring zip lines, and all sorts of fun stuff. When Tyler announced the men’s meeting was coming up, I was delighted the way he phrased the invitation. “Come on out, men! We’re gonna shuck some oysters and blow stuff up!”
I guffawed! How fun is that? Says the woman who is planning on blowing 2020 to smithereens at my Celebrate Life Party on November 14th! The paintball guns are loaded, and the target is made. I am ready to party!!!
The neat part of anything our church sponsors is everyone is welcome. The neatest part is that guests will always hear the gospel both in word and deed.
It doesn’t get much better than that!
And if my computer doesn’t start cooperating, I may donate it for an explosive! Hmm. High tech meets country livin’. It might be fun!
Blessings
