InterCoastal Speedway

Well, glory! At least we survived! Sort of.

Today’s activity was supposed to be a dolphin tour. What we got was Captain Speed Racer! In the thirty mile round trip, we saw absolutely no dolphins despite the captain’s best intentions. What we got was more exciting or painful than riding a 1,500 pound bull at the rodeo. There was not a single wave or trough that Captain Speedy missed as he zigzagged back and forth across the inter-coastal waterway in search of the ever elusive Atlantic bottlenose dolphin.

Ronald and I sat in the front and became more soaked with each salt-water splash. We laughed hysterically to keep from crying as the bones in our necks and back cracked and popped with each bounce. Maybe we should call the guy Captain Chiro. All I know is calling Doctor Cotney will be on our agenda first thing Monday morning!

He was really a nice guy with good intentions. With a lead foot! Which brings me to the question of the day, do you drive a boat with a foot pedal? I’ve no idea.

Blessings.

Psalm 107:23 -32 Some went off to sea in ships, plying the trade routes of the world. They, too, observed the Lord’s power in action, His impressive works on the deepest seas. He spoke, the winds rose, stirring up the waves. Their ships were tossed to the heavens and plunged again to the depths; the sailors cringed in terror. They reeled and staggered like drunkards and were at their wits’ end. “Lord, help!” they cried in their trouble, and He saved them from their distress. He calmed the storm to a whisper and stilled the waves. What a blessing was that stillness as He brought them safely into harbor! Let them praise the Lord for His great love and for the wonderful things He has done for them. Let them  exalt Him publicly before the congregation and before the leaders of the nation.
