Road Graders, Arm Cuffs, and Geniuses
I have a lot of ideas! Look at some of my past posts and Pinterest fails if you don’t believe it. Sometimes I buy tools that I’m sure I can make work, only to find out the truth of it. A genius I am NOT!
I am always duly impressed by those who can envision products and processes and actually make them work. Let me share some things I think are total genius.
There are many, large scale construction sites around here. Where a Publix is being built, they were pulling up trees last week with giant pinchers – roots and all! By this week, they had the enormous logs stacked in piles off site. Huge cement and plastic tubes were laid out ready to put into the deep trenches being dug. The machinery, plans, and know-how to complete such a project is impressive to downright genius!
The picture above is proof of more genius. It is just a small portion of the carefully designed contraptions used for my heart cath yesterday. Everything from imaging equipment to this small pressure cuff were designed by what I consider geniuses. I am so thankful for doctors, nurses, and other staff who sacrificed to learn how to do the procedures to use the equipment. They are geniuses in their own right. Look up the meaning of genius on thesaurus. com. You’ll see what I mean. Even their ‘people skills’ are genius in my book. Read Kathy Koch’s 8 Great Smarts to understand my last statement.
I appreciate the people at every Piedmont Newnan facility I have visited these past few years. They go above and beyond and work together like a well-oiled machine to keep this old body working! And that folks, takes more genius each and every passing year!
From the genius machinery and electronics to the geniuses behind them, God has blessed us. God is good.
Blessings to all the geniuses out there and to those of us in the other category!

God has given talents and skills to man since the beginning of time. Everyone from Adam and Eve to Bezalel to you and me. Let’s use the skills He gives us to bless others. Amen?
