Now Why Did I Save This?

Today is one of those days that I am in the mood to get things done, and I was going to work on something that needed a screw driver. I went to the junk drawer and couldn’t even open the thing fully, much less find what I was looking for! I decided that it was a perfect day to clean out that rascal!

Two hours later, I had the drawer cleaned (picture below) and a box of items and tools to take to the garage to be put in the proper place when it isn’t a jillion degrees below!

Somewhere in the middle of first needing a screw driver and heading to the garage, I had forgotten what I needed it for! It wasn’t until I sat down to write that I remembered I wanted to put in a fancy  6 plug / dual USB port surge protector behind my chair!

But as I sorted, I knew there were MANY other things I forgot. All sorts of gadgets and whatcha-ma-thingies had filled the drawer to the max. I know I kept the odds and ends to this or that project for some reason, but since I can’t remember what the parts were to repair, they were worthless. Here’s my new resolution – each time I save spare screws or special wrenches from a project, I am going to put them in a baggy and write the item from which the miscellaneous remains came.

Good intentions anyway.

As for the junk drawer’s new look – I give it a week.

Blessings and keep warm!

Thought I’d forgotten the Bible verse for today? Nah! This kinda clean is way more important than junk drawers.

The NIV version of Psalm 51:10 says, “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” But I like the Living Bible version of this verse. “Create in me a new, clean heart, O God, filled with clean thoughts and right desires.”
