Daniel Fast and Rabbit Ears

I have two questions for you today.

How much salad do I eat before my ears grow to resemble Bugs Bunny?

If a Fast isn’t bothering a person physically, is it legitimate?

The only thing that has bothered me about my present fast is I’m a little tired and foggy brained. I tried to scan my gym card on the automatic door opener instead of the card reader. Sadly, the ladies at the desk saw my error. Happily, we all had a laugh. Plus, I didn’t get to have cake for my birthday. Bummer!

The Daniel Fast has lots of foods I really like. I even made my own baked falafel the other day and sorta followed a recipe. Next time, I’ll add more spices. My taste buds must be in as bad a shape as the rest of me. I need lots of spice to even taste stuff!

Some people fast to lose weight. Not me. I’m the only person I know who can fast and gain another 5 pounds. Oh well.

I’m not really into it for that reason anyway.

Campus Crusade for Christ lists some great insights about fasting. I encourage you to look up the site and give it some thought.

I’m not going to preach or anything today. All I ask you to do is study on fasting and think about God and His purpose for your life.

Blessings

Okay, so I lied. Acts 13 tells when the church of Antioch was worshipping God and fasting, Paul and Barnabas were commissioned to go with purposeful intent and direction from the Holy Spirit. Their mission was clear and laid out. Not a bad result of fasting I’d say.
