Stars and Secret Codes
Crazy picture, huh? It’s not the yellow brick road, but maybe close to it.
There’s a secret message there if you know what you are looking for and have attended the secret meeting!
Well, no. It is sort of a secret since most people haven’t attended the special tour aboard the cruise that tells the meaning of the stars. It’s in most hallways on any Disney ship. Every piece of art featured on each Disney ship has purpose and meaning.
The carpet clearly shows direction by the use of stars. The top point of the stars heads toward the front of the ship. You know if you are following the bottom points of the star, you are going aft, (that’s pirate language). And that means the back of the ship. And when aboard a Disney ship, everyone knows that aft is the place to be come eatin’ time! One tour guide told us to remember that going aft for food results in putting pounds on a person’s aft.
It is amazing to me how captains can find their way through the ocean. There are no road signs. The stars are mostly not visible. I doubt if the captain uses my nasal voiced direction lady to navigate. How do they do it?
I wonder if I were driving the ship, how long would I drive before running into land. I’m reminded of an old song about a guy named Charlie who rode the Boston subway and whose fate is still unknown. If I were driving, I guarantee I’d end up like the castaways on Gilligan’s Island!
Preachin’ Alert!!
I wonder how often I lose my way in life because I didn’t look for God’s direction. Maybe in my pride, selfishness, unbelief, or outright rebellion I have bullied on and stepped out of God’s will.
The Bible is a perfect life map. If I faithfully follow its wisdom, I can know that I’m headed the right direction.
