Best Day Ever!
Well, the verdict is in. Ronald and I can cruise without kids! It may not have been the best day ever, but Ronald and I have had some serious fun. We are moving slower and maybe not getting in on as many activities, but we are still loving the cruise.
We love meeting new people. Everyone has a story It’s fun to hear others’ adventure tales, and I love learning about the people. It is amazing how many couples of all ages are traveling without kids. I enjoyed talking with one teenager, obviously bright, personable, and well-spoken who was headed our way and even helped haul our heavy suitcases into the room.
I am vicariously enjoying seeing families celebrate life aboard the Disney Cruise ship. As we boarded today, one little girl held her mom’s hand as she bounced in excitement. “This is the best day of my life, isn’t it, Mom?” As the Pluto character was going from person to person in the atrium, one little guy hopped from one foot to the other in delight. Little princesses twirl through the ship with imaginary adventures swirling through their heads.
I was hoping to see stars from our ship deck. Most times, the sky is too cloudy. Tonight, Orion’s belt was clearly seen. I would have been able to identify more, but I slept through the last planetarium show I attended.
Of course, my inability to resist overeating will result in an increased A1C unless the cinnamon pills work. In my defense, I did check out the gym which I hope to make use of – another day.
Loving Life!
Blessings,
Kara Beth
