Another Day, Another Spill, Another Lesson
Well, l Bless My Heart! Again!
All I wanted to do was clean a few Tupperware containers from the refrigerator to have enough dishes to run the dish washer. The leftovers were past prime and needed pitching anyway.
I still don’t know how I managed it. In the blink of an eye, my mason jar of kefir milk was spilled on the floor. And the cabinet. And me. And the refrigerator. Thankfully, because I cover the jar with only a coffee filter so the grains can breathe, the fluid spewed, but the jar didn’t break. I was happy that enough of the baby kefir grains remained in the jar to start a new batch of the delicious probiotic drink. I was especially thankful for my Rainbow vacuum that helped clean up the mess!
Preachin’ Alert
As I am very old, I can think of a bajillion times in the past when I started out with good intentions and somewhere along the way, everything went down the toilet. Maybe I made a major misstep by accident or ignorance. Or pride or bossiness. Sometimes, my timing was wrong. A few times, I thought I was helping a situation, but the people involved weren’t interested in my help.
Maybe I’m wrong. But maybe not. I think I need to keep trying to do good things with good motives. After that, I’ll let God sort out the results.
Galatians 6:10 So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people.
2 Thessalonians 3:13 Do not grow weary of doing good.
1 Timothy 6:18 Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share.
Hebrew 13:16 Do not neglect doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
1 KaraBethians 1:5 Try not to spill more than once a day.
Blessings
