2020 Object Lesson TRUST vs WORRY
Every year, I get more excited about my New Year’s gifts than I do Christmas gifts. These bubblers and some books were this year’s objects to remind my family through the year that God loves them.
Like oil and water, worry and trust do not mix.
Worry destroys joy and withers faith.
Trust, even the size of a mustard seed, can result in a life of blessing with peace of mind and a surety of purpose and direction. Leaning on God’s infinite knowledge and understanding inspires confidence and strength of spirit. We can know without doubt that the One who is the ultimate Creator and caring Father willingly and lovingly guides our ways.
The bubbler has two substances that do no mix. The clear liquid is plain and boring. I am using that to symbolize life without God’s influence. The colored substance flows in interesting, beautiful, and unexpected patterns. The brilliant colors represent our lives as we trust God to move through us to do His will and fulfill His ultimate plan for us. Faith and trust in God also make our lives exciting and significant for His Kingdom. Being yielded to God results in unexpected God moments and interventions as well as Divine appointments that bless others.
I pray you have a year dedicated to living for God with this verse in mind.
Proverbs 3:5
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will show you which path to take.

The books I gave are The God I Never Knew by Robert Morris and The Fearless Life: Live Worry-Free No Matter what Happens by Jentezen Franklin. I listen to these guys, and they both have great words of wisdom.
