CRUELLA, RED RIDING HOOD, and PRETZEL STICKS
BACKSTORY
A few weeks ago, it had turned chilly. I slipped on my fake-fur-collared, black, winter coat. By the time I stepped into my students’ house with the collar pulled closely around my face, the wind had mussed my carefully coiffed, silver hairdo.
After piano lessons, the youngest dramatically stated that she had been afraid when I first entered. “You looked just like that scary woman on the Dalmatians!”
“You mean Cruella de Vil?” After laughing hysterically, I admitted that perhaps I did resemble Cruella in more ways than I would like.
Today, after swimming, I donned my reddish coat. Since I didn’t want to take time to dry my hair and I didn’t want to get a chill from the cold (66°), I pulled up the hood. On the way out, I was asked if I was going for the Little Red Riding Hood look.
Imagine that! Going from the wicked villain to the naïve, cartoon innocent in two weeks!
PARENTING TIP
How to Change Kids’ Behavior in Three Easy Steps.
My daughter, Amanda, was wondering how rowdy her two boys, Silas and Gideon, would be because it is the last day of school before fall break.
I suggested a calming activity for her to do with the boys. Dipping pretzels in melted chocolate or white chocolate and then dipping those into sprinkles would be a fun way to occupy time before supper. Settling into the evening with the pretzels and hot chocolate, a cozy fire, and a Tim Allen Santa movie would be the perfect way to start the holiday.

PREACHIN’ ALERT!
God can change a wicked, Cruella heart to a sweet, childlike spirit in a blink of an eye.
1 John 1:9 KJV “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us from all unrighteousness.”
Jeremiah 24:7 says that God will give us a heart to know Him. He will be our God, and we can be His people.
As we approach the holiday season, may we all daily ask for a heart to know God more intimately. That will bring the peace and joy you crave to your home .
Blessings! Celebrate!
