Thank You for the Torture!
I am behind in my thank yous. The picture below is my Torture Team from my physical therapy in September. I’m not exactly sure who I was thanking in this picture – them or me. Was I really thanking them for teaching me how to better care for my body? Was I blessing them for the weekly pain and agony they put me through? Was I rewarding them for putting up with my moaning, and groaning, and outright complaining? You better believe it, sista! I was a real pain in their backsides! They needed therapy after dealing with me!
Who am I trying to kid? I was really treating myself and using the end of therapy as an excuse to party! Though I don’t really need an excuse to celebrate. I love finding things to party about so I can have me some yummy cake! But sadly, those types of special occasions only come up once every three months or so.
I do try to give atta-boys really often though. When a person at Waffle House extends a sincere smile and gives good service, by golly! They deserve a letter to the headquarters and a good tip. When a waitress refills my tea in a timely fashion, that’s worth rejoicing over!
Seriously, everyday there is something to be thankful for. I’m not even going to suggest what you need to thank the Good Lord for. That’s for you to come up with.
I’m going to start my praise list for the day.
The physical therapy team at Upson Regional is phenomenal!

Thanks also to the Ingles’ baker who used her imagination in making the cake!
I especially thank you for reading my silly stuff. I hope it makes you smile and maybe think a little. Maybe let I Thessalonians 5:16-18 become your new mantra. “I will rejoice always, pray all the time, and be thankful in all circumstances, no matter what. This is God’s will for me in Christ Jesus.
