Flip Flops and The Mystery Meat
Truly, it has been a Bless My Heart day.
Got up early to go swimming. All good. Got to thinkin’ on the way there and missed my turns two different times. Multi-tasking is obviously beyond my capabilities.
At the pool, all was good. Even though I forgot my flipflops, I didn’t slip on the slick surface. Really good! Made it home without losing my focus or missing any turns.
We had mystery meat for lunch. So sometimes I have these moments of total insanity when I think, “I’ll put these leftovers away in the freezer and pull them out when I don’t feel like cooking. (Which is really never.) Considering my grocery-buying spree from last week, I had said, “We are going to save the new food until the old food is eaten!”
That’s a good line in theory, in reality, not so much. We ate it anyway. Not sure I’ll make that suggestion again any way soon. And as for future leftovers? I have a very good garbage disposal.
Just so you know, I do have a Biblical reference. Didn’t Jesus teach us to pray, “Give us this day our daily bread”? It works for me!
